Our Story

Our journey to make a great tasting kombucha began with a GIFT from one of our kids of a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria Yeast). A SCOBY is needed in order for the tea to ferment and is a crucial ingredient in kombucha.

Dave started making kombucha for our family because of it’s HEALTH benefits. However, he quickly became PASSIONate about sharing his version of this funky tea. What started as a hobby turned into a desire to share kombucha’s healing properties with our COMMUNITY.

At Snowmon’s, we make all our kombucha locally at our shop in Fairview Park, Ohio in small, handcrafted batches using only glass vessels, never plastic. We use reverse osmosis filtered water, so that it’s the freshest, cleanest water possible. We can taste the difference and we think you will also. We keep our recipes simple. Water, tea, SCOBY, sugar, fruit and sometimes spices are the only ingredients in our kombucha.

We try to be as Eco friendly as possible. We compost, reuse and recycle everything we possibly can. In 2019 we only produced 52 lbs of waste AND our awesome customers have returned over 3300 of our bottles so we can wash, rinse and sanitize to use again!

It’s simply made, delightfully different!

Make every day a Kombucha Day!
